I used to blog a lot more about the people I shoot. I really love the people I am able to photograph, I feel that in under an hour I am able to see them for who they are in away and I seriously love them. I get to see them vulnerable and themselves. I get to see the smile they make when I tell them something very awkward and a little bit funny. I get to see the little smirks, the serious faces, and the faces that really remind them how beautiful they are. I love for them to see themselves through my lens. I want to show them how remarkable they are. This is why I love photography so much. I go through times where I compare my work to others and struggle with staying fresh and creative. But I know my love for the art keeps me going and keeps me creating. 

Lacamas Lake, WA

Lacamas Lake is a forest in the city and I love it and it exploring its never ending trails. This time around I took some of my favorite girls. They were having a hard time with the serious model faces because they are seriously so hilarious. I can't wait to go back again.

Lilac bushes are blooming everywhere lately. I loved our spontaneous trip to go see them up close. I dream of having a my whole yard covered in these one day.

 I am happy when I design something, when I burst out laughing, when I discover a new song, when I learn something new, when I wake up and feel relaxed. I’m glad to have friends, family, a home, food when I’m hungry, hot water when I shower. I love being able to live and see the seasons change, to have gifts at Christmas and at my birthday, to travel sometimes, to have a good education and a great access to culture. I’m flattered when people compliment me, when people smile at me, when people are polite to me. There are so many things that make life so simple and easy and I will always think about them more than all the bad things that will happen to me. I do not have time to be sad every day and ungrateful ; I have every reason in the world to be happy.

Sienna + Nick

I am so excited for this couple! Just a few weeks after taking these photos they announced they were engaged! Congrats to Sienna + Nick! I am so happy that we got to go explore Mesa Falls together.
