Sunday night was filled with an adventure.
Us girls, jumped into my car
and headed down to the lake that is around our town
Unfortunately over the summer, we received extremely little water
and day by day the lake lost more and more water
When we arrived at the lake only a few small ponds were left in the normally full lake.
My heart broke for the lake, lame I know..POOR LAKE.
I reflected on all the times we went out on the boat in the same places we were walking.
However I got to do something I have always wanted to do.
We walked across what was once a lake.
Though it was strangely difficult..
because the water left strange cracks in the ground, we accomplished making it to the center
the sun was going down and the fall weather surrounded us
We stood on the bottom of the bridge and heard as the cars drove over.
Its something I have never done, but something that will forever be a memory
I pray we receive some rain soon. Poor lake.
