this place is beautiful

Wednesday, February 22, 2012

This Place is Beautiful, is a series I am starting.
I feel like once you see beauty in the small thing it can completely change you.
You really start seeing beauty in the most simplistic of things.
anything from a wild flower blowing in the seventy degree western air or a giggle coming from a boy-crazy eleven year old.
I started with the place most familiar to me, my hometown.
Welcome to Merit, TX.
When you drive through Merit, you might not say, this place is beautiful.
But once you take your mind off material things.
Its such a beautiful little town in East Texas.
Enjoy these photos.

This past month my life has changed drastically. Like think night to day. Ya, that crazy man.
My dreams of being this fearless College student in a new city, completely changed.
And to be honest I went crying to my daddy. Who had no objection to my persistent request to return to the nest.
So I am home.
I am sorta mad at myself.
I don't ever get to see my beautiful sisters face daily.
We don't get to chat about everything daily.
No more lunch dates downtown.
No more redecorating.
No more beautiful french braids.
But I am content with the life I now have here.
I have my bestest friend ten minutes away.
And my other best friend is only hours away. I think I will get used to road trips.

Along with my big move back to Texas, I am now attending a University not to far from my house.
I am so proud to say that I, B, am attending a University.
I still live at home, so I am having a hard time meeting people.
But I really love my Major, and all, yes all, of my professors are awesome.
Did I mention my campus is so pretty? I seriously cant wait to have some time to capture some pictures of it.
It has such a vintage and clean look.
I love how everyone walks around in a bustle and is carrying their over the shoulder satchels.
I love just people watching on my long walks from class to class.
It sure passes the time away.
It is all surreal. I love it.

Oh and I finally have internet! I cant wait to catch up on here!

I have been taking a lot of thought about the choices I have made lately.
I moved across the country.
To a place where I knew no one.
I today find myself..sad.
I miss my family.
I miss my best friends.
I miss that warm summer heat.
I miss the welcoming spirit, that is all over the place.
I have made the decision to move back to Texas.
I will one day return to Washington.
But right now, this is the right choice for me.

Trip to Texas

Thursday, July 21, 2011

First off, sorry for the lack of photos from my vacation.
But I did take a few, those pictures include:
A sunset you can only see in small town in Texas.
And a sweet time swimming with the cousins.

I took a few weeks off from blogging, for the start of my summer vacation.

I went on a adventure.
I flew to Texas to visit my padre, and meet the new people in his life.
Her and her daughter are sweet, and just felt warm to be around.
I enjoyed the heat.
My Brother Steven, entertained us.
I played games at Northpark with my best friend M.
We ran around that place, until we both had no energy left.
I realized that our friendship,
was and is not one that will be highly effected by
miles or time apart.
Played basketball with my dads best friends families.
I went and saw 2 movies.
Harry Potter, blew Monte Carlo out of the mud.
Bought skinny wide leg jeans!
Jumped for joy, because of how much I love them.
Swam with my adorable cousins, Lea and Macaroni.
Went to eat dinner at my best friend, Shel's house.
Had homemade oreos,
and laughed with them at their cute inside jokes.
I smiled when I said goodbye.
Even to the one I wont see for two years,
good luck on your mission, T.
(This made me wonder where I will be in two years)
I cried when I got back to my dads house after an awesome weekend.
I hoped no one would notice.
Had a heart to heart with Padre about my future.
Choose the next morning to suck it up.
AND to continue with my dream, of living in the northwest.
Enjoyed the sunset on my last night there.
Played just dance with my new friends.
Got to the airport.
Watched my dad cry, as I made my way through security.
I flew to sanfran, and possibly sat by my future husband.
He had thick black glasses, and let me have the arm rest.
I Daydreamed.
Arrived to my new home.
And laughed the whole way home, with my sister.
at 1:30 am.
I really learned a lot these past weeks,
and I can definetly say,
I am different now,
than before I left.
So different I even read a book, just to read a book.
Holy crap, I think they call this maturing...

I finally did it! I moved to Washington! This move is apart of a long dream to live in the northwest, to be close to my family. Even though my move involved a lot of crying from the loved ones I was leaving I know this move will be good for me. It feels right.
